8 DIE IN PENINSULA'S WORST CRASH.
Kinchloe Air Force Base, Mich. (UPI) - The worst recorded traffic accident in the history of Michigan's Upper Peninsula has claimed its eighth life.
Three-year-old TRACY MARIE DARLING died Wednesday of injuries from a car-train crash that killed her pregnant mother and sister and five others.
The crash occurred Tuesday at an unmarked rail crossing near the Town of Fibre.
The victims were heading home to Sault Ste. Marie from a blueberry picking trip when the tragedy occurred. The other victims were:
CHARLOTTE ANN DARLING, 26, who was expecting her third child next month;
DEANE RENEE DARLING, 6.
MARY CRYDERMAN, 34.
SHERI CRYDERMAN, 6.
CAROL SAURO, 30.
SANDRA CHAMBERLAIN, 34, who authorities said was the driver.
