MICHIGAN WRECK ENDS LIFE FOR 17 PERSONS.

Blissfield, Mich., Nov. 1 (AP) - Sixteen German prisoners of war and an American soldier were fatally injured when a train smashed into their truck at a crossing hear here yesterday.
Pfc. EDWARD LOUGHRIN of Cadillac, military policeman in charge of the group, died this morning. Three prisoners were reported in serious condition.
A New York Central train demolished the truck, striking it broadside and strewing bodies of victims and wreckage 300 feet. The men were returning to the Blissfield POW camp after work on a beet farm.
Mass funeral services will be held at Fort Custer Saturday.
