TWO SKATERS DROWNED IN RIVER, AT BOSTON

BOSTON, Dec. 26--Skating out the close of the Christmas holiday on the Charles river basin, Earle B. Peterson, aged 21 and Miss Lilla Shal, aged 20 years, broke through the ice tonight and were drowned. The bodies were recovered.

Mr. Peterson was assistant secretary of religious work at the Young Men's Christian association in Boston. He came to Boston from Oshkosh, Wis.
