Fire Ignited 25-pound Can of Powder in House at Lonaconing.

CUMBERLAND, Md., May 17.---Four persons were injured to-day by the explosion of a twenty-five pound can of powder and the house at Lonaconing in which it occurred was wrecked Mrs. Henry Hacker and Lewis Hacker, her son are in a critical condition. Two other members of the family were burned.

After filling his flask with powder preparatory for work in the mine, Lewis Hacker of Lonaconing, threw the paper funnel he had used in the fire Powder had stuck to the paper, and the flash communicated with the twenty-five pound can from which he had filled the flask.
