Fork, MD Auto Crash Into Pole, Jan 1955

SIX IN TEENS PERISH IN CRASH.

Fork, Maryland (AP) - Five of this weekends victims never reached their 20th birthdays and five of them wiped out in a single accident Saturday night a half mile north of Fork in Baltimore County.
Killed in the crash which ripped the top off the car when it smashed into a utility pole were:
WILLIAM E. SAMPLE, JR., 19, of Hydes;
his brother, ELMER SAMPLE, 16, of Hickory;
JUDY WOHNHAAS, 14, of Baltimore.
MARGARET RICHERT, 16, of Parkville.
BARBARA WRIGHT, 15, of Parkville.
FRANK C. SHIPLEY, 18, of Fullerton, was the only survivor of the accident. He was in "fair" condition with a broken nose and possible internal injuries.
The sole survivor could not be questioned for details of the accident and police weren't sure who was driving the car. WILLIAM SAMPLE owned the vehicle.
