Boy's Bonfire Destroys 300 Chickens
Special to The Inquirer
MAGNOLIA, Md., June 27.---Three hundred young chickens, which were being prepared for the market, were cremated early this morning, when the chicken house on John Grace's farm was burned to the ground. His 3-year-old son had made a bonfire under a carriage shed with a pile of straw, which caused the fire. Mr. Grace was severely burned about the body in trying to save a valuable driving horse from the barn.
