Jet Fighter Crashes, Pilot Killed

Washington, April 7 – (AP) – An army P-80 jet fighter plane crashed today near Andrews Field, Md. While enroute from Langley Field, Va. To participate in the Capital’s Army Day observance. The pilot, identified at Langley Field as Maj. John M. CHAPIN, a resident of that field, was killed.
