Sulphur, LA Family Saved from Burning Home by Horse, Nov 1912

Neighboring Aroused Inhabitants of House on Fire.

LAKE CHARLES, LA., Nov. 12.---The shrill neighing of one of their horses probably saved the family of W. O. Anderson being burned to death early yesterday morning in their home near Sulphur, a village a few miles from here. Mrs. Anderson awakened by the noise, found the house afire. She quickly aroused her husband. They escaped with their one child. The house was burned to the ground.
