ON A BURNED BRIDGE

A Train Destroyed and the Two Engineers Killed.

The eastbound passenger train on the Texas and Pacific Railway was totally wrecked two miles west of Ropeline, La. It ran upon a burned bridge, and all the cars - one baggage, postal and express, two day passengers and one Pullman - were completely burned.

The engineer of the train was killed and Civil Engineer SMITH, of the road, was fatally burned. The corpse of a young woman in the baggage car was burned up.
