FIVE KILLED IN CRASH NEAR SHREVEPORT.

Shreveport, La. (AP) - An automobile and a station wagon crashed head on early today, killing five persons and injuring three others.
The cars crashed on U.S. 71, about 45 miles north of here.
Dr. Charles S. Boone, Cuddo Parish chief deputy coroner, identified the dead as:
JOHN WESLEY BETTS, 20, of Redwater, Tex., an employee of General Telephone Co. of Springhill, La. He was the only occupant of the car.
D. P. MITEHINER, 52, of Haynesville, driver of the station wagon;
FRANK J. BALDA, 38, of Haynesville;
GLENN STAGGS, 44, of Summerfield;
and PHESS IVORY, 37, of Haynesville.
