Bayou Sara, LA Steamer T. P. LEATHERS Burned, Nov 1890

FIVE WERE DROWNED.

New Orleans, Nov. 28. -- One of the officers and survivors of the steamboat T. P. Leathers, burned Thursday, has arrived at Bayou Sara.
He says those known to have been drowned are as follows:
IKE McNORRIS, the steward.
the first cook, named WALKER.
the texas tender, HAMILTON JONES.
a roustabout named WRIGHT, all colored.
a white deck passenger, whose name is not known.
LUCY HILL, the chambermaid, jumped from the deck and broke her leg.
