Slade, KY Auto Crash Into Abutment, Sep 1968

CAR CRASH KILLS 8 IN FAMILY.

Slade, Ky. (AP) - Eight members of a Michigan family were killed early Sunday when their car slammed into an overpass abutment and plunged off the fog-shrouded Mountain Parkway.
The accident occurred about two miles from an exit leading to Natural Bridge State Park in Daniel Boone National Forest.
State police said six of the victims were killed in the crash. Two died en route to a hospital.
The victims were identified as TEVIS TILLER, 21, Wyandotte; his wife, LOLA GREEN TILLER, 21; the couple's four children, IVAN, 4; REGINNA, 2; JANET, 1; and JESSIE, 2 months; MRS. TILLER'S brother, PAUL GREEN, 21, Wyandotte, and GREEN'S wife, GERI BUZZHART GREEN, 21.
Police said TILLER apparently fell asleep at the wheel.
