Council Bluffs, IA Building Collapse, Nov 1911

COUNCIL BLUFFS---Just as the men constructing the new telephone exchange building here were about to quit work a section of the front wall buckled and collapsed into the street, carrying with it two workmen into the street, carrying, with it two workmen a distance of about 35 feet to the pavement. Chris Brenck, a single man, was entirely buried under the mass of brick, mortar and stone, and was lifeless when released. He was terribly injured and his death was but a matter of a few moments.
