TOWN OF RENWICK SWEPT BY FLAMES.

Renwick, Iowa -- F. A. Ferguson, general manager and secretary of the Iowa Life Insurance company, was advised by telephone this morning that the First National bank and half the town of Renwick, in Humboldt county, had been destroyed by fire.
None of the particulars, further than the wide extent of the conflagration was given.
The bank which was burned was controlled by W. B. McElhinney, who is also interested in the bank at Goldfield, Ia. He is a brother of F. F. McElhinney of Waterloo.
