TWO CAR CRASH KILLS FIVE.

Huntington, Ind. (AP) - Five died in a single crash of two cars on U.S. 24 west of Huntington. Three were Lafayette women employed by General Telephone Co., who were going to Fort Wayne for a dinner honoring retiring employees.
MISS JESSIE JONES, 48;
and MAXINE LUCILLE FIX, 36, both of Lafayette;
and JOHN K. CROSS, 28, and his wife, TOMMIE LOU, of Huntington, were killed in the crash.
MRS. JUANITA KLEPINGER, 38, driver of the Lafayette car, died in Huntington County Hospital.
Police said CROSS evidently lost control of his car on the glassy pavement. It slid sideways down the highway and was struck broadside by the Lafayette car.
