Hobart, IN Train - Buggy Wreck, Aug 1907

TWO KILLED AT HOBART.

Mr. and Mrs. Wolf Struck on Pennsylvania Crossing.

Engineer Ira Burger and Fireman N. R. Downing, of the Pennsylvania, were summoned to Valparaiso this morning to attend the coroner's inquest over the two victims of a railway accident.  Thursday night Engineer Burger and Fireman Downing were on the engine pulling train No. 9, which struck a buggy occupied by Mr. and Mrs. August Wolf as a crossing a mile and a half east of Hobart and instantly killed them.  The couple resided on a farm near the scene of the accident and they were aged and respected people.  No blame is attached to the enginemen, as the usual precaution against accident was observed.
