Farmer Directs Rescuers.

Caught by Fallen Tree His Cries Bring Neighbors to Aid.

Greensburg, Ind., Feb. 17 – William CRAMER, a farmer of this county, while felling a tree today, was caught and pinioned to the ground for more than an hour when the tree “kicked back.” He was some distance from his home, but his wife heard his cries and summoned neighbors. The rescuers were obliged to hitch a team of horses to the tree, and while they were doing this CRAMER, who was suffering intense agony, directed them. The lower part of Cramer’s body was bruised and cut, but no bones were broken.
