MULTI-VEHICLE CRASH IN ILLINOIS KILLS SIX.

Elkhart, Ill. (AP) - Four teen-age girls and two other persons are dead following a fiery multi-vehicle collision on U.S. 66, three miles south of Elkhart.
State police said the accident occurred Sunday night when the driver of a semi-trailer lost control when his left front tire blew out. His rig crossed the highway median strip, hitting three cars.
The four teen-agers were identified as KAREN L. LABNO, 18, of Darien, Ill.; and CYNTHIA S. HARDING; MICHALENE KAPANOWSKI; and CHRISTIAN RANALLO, all 17 and all of Chicago.
Identification of the two persons killed in the second car was delayed since all identification was destroyed in the wreck.
The truck driver was unhurt and persons in the third car were only slightly injured.
