Marshall, Nov. 13. (AP) - Three men were killed today in the collision of two transport trucks west of here.
The highway patrol identified them as JOSEPH SISSON, of Alexandria, Va.; RONALD LOWERY, 21, of Benton, Ark., apparently a hitchhiker; and TOM NEWKIRK, of Effingham.
The highway patrol said NEWKIRK'S truck belonged to the Viking Truck Co. of Effingham. The other truck was en-route to St. Louis from Pittsburgh, Pa., with a load of miscellaneous freight including 7,400 pounds of pottery. It belonged to the Riss Truck Lines of St. Louis.
NEWKIRK was thrown from the cab of his truck and the other two men burned to death when the gasoline tank caught fire.
