Derailed The Freight Train
One Engineer Killed and Four Others of Train Crew Injured.
Peoria, Ill., July 13.-A double-header freight train on the Toledo, Peoria and Warsaw Railway ran over a cow at Marietta, Ill., a small station near Bushnell, at 6 o’clock to-night. The train was derailed William Swatz, engineer, was killed while jumping from the engine.
James J. Quinlan, engineer; James T. Ream, fireman; N.A. Shellabarger, fireman, and Eugene O’Hara were hurt. All live in this city. The property loss will be heavy.
