Alma, IL Train And Wagon Collision, June 1897

KILLED BY THE CARS.

Centralia, Ill., June 1. -- J. W. ROBERTS' wife and two children were struck by an Illinois Central north-bound passenger train at Alma, a small town 15 miles north of Centralia, in the morning, and all were instantly killed. They were driving in a wagon and were caught at the crossing.
