PLANE DASHES FOUR TO DEATH.

PRIVATELY OWNED CRAFT PLUNGES TO EARTH AT DANVILLE MUNICIPAL AIRPORT.

Danville, Ill., Sept. 12 -- (UP) -- Department of Commerce officials investigated today the crash of a privately owned airplane in which four persons were killed at Municipal airport last night.
The dead, all Danville residents were PETER BRITZ, 42, a florist, owner and pilot; JAMES KINCAIDE, 38; CHARLES COMPANION, 48, and
HARRY ICE, 40.
They had taken off 10 minutes before the crash for a flight over the city. Witnesses said the motor stalled as the ship approached the Danville airport for a landing. BRITZ apparently had attempted to glide the ship to a landing but when only 100 feet from the runway it crashed into a cornfield.
