Flames Raze Fireman’s Domicile In South Boise

Midnight Blaze Perils Lives of Sleeping Family; Little Girl’s Arms Cut in Exit Through Window.

Fire, starting from an unknown source at midnight Friday night, totally destroyed the story and a half frame home of James Stout at Williams and Division Streets in South Boise. Mr. Stout, who is a fireman at No. 4 station, barely escaped with his life and those of his two children. The arms of the little girl were badly cut when her father dragged her through a window. Department No. 4 answered the alarm but the house was out of reach of hose connection and nothing could be salvaged.
