Washington, DC Drowning, May 1907

It was ascertained yesterday that the correct name of the German who was drowned in the Potomac Sunday afternoon off the Old Dominion Glass Company's wharf was Alois Burkle, and that he was a native of Stuttgart, Wurttemburg[sic], where he has a brother who is a Catholic priest. His funeral will take place from St. Mary's Catholic Church at 4 o'clock this afternoon, and will be attended by the members of he brewer's union, to which he belonged. The burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
