Two Drowned Shooting Rapids.

Joseph H. Painter, thirty year old, a botanist in the National museum, and sis[sic] companion, Robert Wallace, sixteen years old, were drowned while trying to shoot the rapids in the Potomac river about ten miles north of Washington.
