Funeral In City For Crash Victim

Walter J. Ernwine, Jr., Formerly of Louisville, Killed in Delaware

The body of WALTER J. ERNWINE, JR., 19 years old, formerly of Louisville, who was killed in an automobile accident near Lewes, Del., is expected to arrive here Thursday, according to word received by relatives.

ERNWINE, with four other youths, was on a motor trip when the mishap occurred. Robert P. Jenkins, driver of the automobile, told police of Georgetown, a town near Lewes, that he lost control and the car crashed into a bridge abutment. Jenkins and three other companions escaped injury. ERNWINE suffered a fractured skull, crushed chest and cuts.

The youths had left their homes at Baltimore for a week-end trip to Ocean City, NJ.

ERNWINE, a native of Louisville, left here several years ago with is mother, Mrs. Rose Dornay. The boy was the son of the late Walter J. Ernwine, who for many years engaged in the hardware business here.

Besides his mother, ERNWINE is survived by two grandmothers, Mrs. P. G. Ernwine and Mrs. Charles Herbst, both of Louisville.
