Albrecht & Lossman Drownings,
Clinton, Iowa

SYRACUSE, Ill., June 12. - - An
excursion from this city to Clinton, Ia.,
yesterday resulted in the death of two of
Sycamour's prominent business men. While
taking a ride on the river in a sail boat the
craft upset and Henry Albrecht and
Herman Lossman were drowned. Their bodies have
not been recovered.
Both were Germans and were brothers-in-law.
Mr. Lossman and Mrs. Albrecht being brother and
sister. Albrecht leaves a widow and four
children. Lossman also leaves a widow and
four children. Will Lossman, a brother of one of
the victims, was in the boat when it capsized,
but was rescued. He remained at Clinton to
conduct the search for the bodies.
