Livery Stable Fire

DESTRUCTIVE FIRE AT CARBONDALE
Fire at Carbondale.
Carbondale, Feb 23.--[Special]-- The livery
stable of Tucker &
Wecklifle at this place was entirely
destroyed by fire at noon today. Only the horses
were saved. Everything else, including the
firm’s books, is a total loss. No insurance. It
is supposed the fire caught from the office
stove and as the employes were at dinner the
flames had got beyond control before being
discovered. Luckily there was no wind or the
main portion of the town might have been swept
away. The loss is roughly estimated at $1200.
