2 PEDESTRAINS HURT BY HIT-AND-RUN CAR

Two pedestrians were injured shortly before 1 a.m. today when struck by a hit-and-run auto on Congress street during a rain storm.

Taken to St. Vincent's hospital in the City ambulance were Robert Stott, of 252 William street, and Rose Raymond, 35, of 424 Myrtle avenue. Attendants said both are under treatment for head and facial injuries.

Patrolman Thomas Connery said the man and woman was crossing from the north to the south side of Congress street when struck by an eastbound car. Police said the driver who continued on without investigating was still being sought early today.
