ARMY PILOT IS KILLED WHEN PLANE EXPLODES.

Wethersfield, Conn., March 28. -- (AP) -- A single-engined army fighter, enroute from Mitchell Field, N.Y., to Grenier air force base at Manchester, N.H., exploded here early Sunday, then buried itself and its pilot and sole occupant in a clump of trees on a golf course.
In the blazing wreckage was carried to death Lieutenant JOSEPH P. McMILLAN, about 28, of the Grenier Field.
The explosion shook a wide area of suburban homes. State police found that the engine and pilot's compartment had buried themselves in the swamp water.
