FREAK ACCIDENT KILLS THREE IN COLORADO.

Golden, Colo. - A 40-ton girder from a bridge construction project collapsed onto Interstate 70 just west of Denver Saturday morning, crushing a sport utility vehicle and killing all three occupants.
Killed were:
WILLIAM POST.
his wife ANITA POST.
their daughter COBY ANN, 2-years-old
"This is one of the worst things I've ever seen," said Stacey Stegman, spokeswoman for the Colorado of Transportation.
"Something went terribly wrong."
The 100-foot-long girder, placed Tuesday night as part of a construction project on Colorado 470, fell on the eastbound lanes of I-70 just after 10 a.m. It crashed onto a blue Dodge Durango, ripping off the top half of the vehicle while the remainder continued on another quarter mile.
