FIVE DIE IN AUTO CRASH - FAMILY NEARLY ANNIHILATED.

TROLLEY CAR HITS HEAVILY LOADED MACHINE NEAR LOS ANGELES, KILLING QUINTET OUTRIGHT, FATALLY INJURING TWO.

Los Angeles, Cal., Nov. 25. - (Special) - As the result of a collision tonight of their automobile with a trolley car, five members of the NICHOLAS JACOBS family were killed, two were fatally injured and three others slightly hurt.
The accident happened on the Los Angeles and Santa Anna electric line, six miles from this city.
While a trolley car carrying the victims was returning to this city it collided with another car, injuring eight persons, some seriously.
The auto accident dead:
NICHOLAS JACOBS, real estate dealer, Los Angeles.
ANTHONY JACOBS, 6 years old.
CLEMENT JACOBS, 4 years old.
KATE JACOBS, 18 years old.
MAMIE JACOBS, 18 years old.
The fatally injured:
MRS. NICHOLAS JACOBS.
Infant JACOBS, 2 months old.
Slightly injured:
PETER JACOBS.
JOHN JACOBS.
MISS JOSEPHINE SOLON.

Auto Is Hurled Forty Feet.
The trolley car was running at a high rate of speed and caught the heavily loaded automobile at a crossing. The auto was hurled forty feet.
The occupants were thrown in the road and JACOBS, with his four children, ANTHONY, aged 6; CLEMENT, aged 4; KATE, aged 18; and MAMIE, aged 18, were dead when passengers on the car reached them.
MRS. JACOBS, who held the baby in her arms, was thrown fifty feet and will die, while the baby, crushed under its mother's body, is believed to be fatally hurt.
Two other sons of JACOBS, PETER and JOHN, and MISS JOSEPHINE SOLON, 19 years old, jumped from the automobile and escaped with slight injuries.
None of those injured in the second accident is likely to die.
