HEAD-ON COLLISION KILLS 7 PERSONS.

Bakersfield, Cal., Dec. 7. - (AP) - Two entire families were wiped out in a passenger car and truck crash near Lost Hills that cost the lives of seven persons, four of whom were killed instantly, the other three dying within an hour.
The driver of the truck was held in the county jail here for investigation, following a dying statement by one of the women that he turned his truck across the road in front of them.
The dead:
MR. and MRS. LEON COLEMAN BLANCETT, of Paso Robles;
and 4-year-old child, tentatively identified as their son;
MR. and MRS. ALBERT E. GRUEN HAGEN, of Paso Robles;
a 7-year-old boy, tentatively identified as their son;
and an 18-months-old boy, believed to be a GRUEN HAGEN child.
The truck driver, A. E. GILMORE, 350 Wall Street, Ventura, was placed in the Kern County jail by Captain Roy Gallion of the state traffic squad.
