Boca, CA Truckee Highway Bridge Auto Wreck, Sept 1930
Two Are Injured At Fatal Bridge
The concrete wall of the Truckee highway bridge near Boca, which this summer was the scene of a fatal automobile crash, yesterday figured in another accident, in which J. F. Rehm and Thomas Burns, both of Reno, were seriously injured.
The mishap occurred at about 9 o'clock yesterday morning. Rehm, who is in a local hospital, sustained a fractured hip, possible internal injuries and had cuts and bruises. Burns was taken to Truckee for treatment, where it was learned that he was suffering from shock and numerous lacerations.
H. A. French of Alturas, Cal, brought Rehm to the hospital here, apparently having struck the railing at a high rate of speed. A piece of concrete was broken off and the machine was hurled back across the highway to the other side of the bridge.
