San Diego Plane Crash Kills Two

Mount Laguna, San Diego Co. – UPI – Investigators today examined the wreckage of a small plane which crashed northeast of here, claiming the lives of two San Diego men. Winds of over 100 miles an hour were recorded in the area.

Wreckage was discovered yesterday on a slope of the Laguna Mountains near the 4,00 (sic) foot level.

Dead were George OLIVER, 35, a student pilot and George MARVIN, 41, a father of six children.

The craft was returning to San Diego from Ocotillo Wells, San Diego County, with 14 other aircraft of the Antique Airplane Association after an outing in the desert.
