THREE PERSONS DROWN IN CABIN CRUISER EXPLOSION.

Harrison Hot Springs, B.C. - C/P - Three persons were drowned and two others badly burned Saturday when a 34-foot cabin cruiser exploded and sank a mile off shore in 40 feet of water.
Dead are A. L. CARMICHAEL, 31, his wife, ROSE, and a son MARVIN, 11, all of Harrison. A daughter ROCHELLE, 5, and ANDY LAKEBERG, 60, were injured.
A backfire which ignited fumes from the gasoline engine were believed to have caused the explosion.
