Lead Hill, AR Storm & Drowning, Jul 1894

Trusty Escaped, But His Wife and Four Children Drowned.

Word has just been received of the result of a fatal waterspout at Lead Hill, Ark. The storm came on early in the afternoon, being proceeded by heavy wind and vivid lightning.

The Trusty Roller Mill was swept from its foundation. The miller, WILLIAM TRUSTY, his wife, and four children, lived in a cottage near the building. TRUSTY himself escaped, but the house, with the wife and children, was washed away, all the inmates perishing. MRS. TRUSTY was forty years old, the children being aged thirteen, twelve, seven years and an eight-months-old infant.
