Tornado Hits Small Town; List 21 Dead
WORTH, Mo., April 30.----(UP)----Tornadoes and high winds that swept through northwest Arkansas and Missouri today left three communities in ruins and a death toll of at least 21 persons.
Eight others lost their lives in a storm that struck the farming communities of Bright Water and Garfield in northwest Arkansas. Four persons in each town were killed and at least 12 others injured.
(The Red Cross headquarters in St. Louis said 10 persons lost their lives in the Arkansas storm.")

In Arkansas, the business section of Bright Water was practically destroyed. Mr. and Mrs. Arch Blansett, operators of the general store, and Orville Springer were killed by collapsing buildings. The twister then ripped across a farming area east of Garfield, Ark. Garfield was not hit directly. Four persons were killed in the farming section.
