Yucca (AP) - Three persons were killed and five injured in a two-car collision at sun-up Thursday on Highway 66 near this desert community about 50 miles south of Kingman.

Philip Clark, truck driver who was about a mile from the crash, said he saw the two cars meet head-on in a "cloud of dust."

In one car one young woman was killed and a man, woman and baby were brought to Mohave General Hospital at Kingman. Hospital officials said they did not expect the injured woman to live.

In the other, the driver, a man, and a woman in the back seat were killed. The top of his head was torn off. Two children were injured as the car telescoped.

A coroner's jury was on the scene investigating. Both cars had California license plates.
