ATMORE IS VISITED

CYCLONE STRIKES WITHIN FOUR MILES OF TOWN

Riley and Elmore White Were Badly Injured and Seven Camp Cars Were Blown from Tracks and Demolished.

Atmore, May 19.---(Special.)---A fierce cyclone swept over a large territoy[sic] four miles north of here at 4 o'clock last night, doing several hundred dollars of damage. Seven camp cars which were standing on the log track at the W. M. Carney Mill Company were completely demolished, the camp and feed houses were blown away and large numbers of trees were uprooted.

Riley and Elmore White, two white men, were badly injured, two oxed[sic] weer[sic] killed and several are injured. Details are meagre, but it is claimed to have been the worst cyclone occurring in that section in several years.
